Guest house, lodge, B&B and hotel WiFi
Guest WiFi installation for hotels, guest houses and lodges.
Hotwireless offers hotel WiFi installation services for accommodation venues across South Africa: we install the guest WiFi and then run it for you. Your property name on the login screen, your own systems kept well out of reach, and a fixed monthly fee per location so there is nothing to reconcile at month end. You keep your own internet line; we supply and manage the router and the login page your guests see.
Typical scope
- Coverage check and access point placement across rooms, public areas and the conference space.
- Guest network separated from your property management system, card machine and back office.
- Branded splash page, terms, vouchers and rate limits.
- A router we supply, configure and manage.
- Support Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 SAST.
For accommodation operators
Hospitality WiFi is part of the stay.
Bad WiFi becomes a bad review. Managed hotel WiFi solutions give guests a cleaner connection, give reception one less thing to explain, and keep the property's own systems separate from whatever a guest plugs into the network.
Your name on the door
The splash page carries your logo, your colours and your wording, set up per property. A group can run one splash at the hotel and a different one at the lodge.
Your systems stay separate
Guest traffic sits on its own network segment, kept off your property management system, your card machine, the back-office PCs and staff devices.
Someone else runs it
The equipment is ours to supply, set up and look after. A wording change on the login page or a new access rule happens from our side, so nobody has to drive out to the property for it.

What the guest sees
One screen, one tap, then they are online.
A guest arriving at a B&B does not want a password on a laminated card. They connect to your network, the login page opens by itself, and they are on.
- Free access for everyone staying, with advertising on the page as an optional add-on to the Basic + Data + Guest Insights package.
- Vouchers reception can hand to a conference delegate or a long-stay guest who needs more than the everyday allowance.
- Paid access where you would rather charge for the faster tier than absorb it.
- Time and bandwidth limits per tier, so one guest streaming all evening does not flatten the line for the rest of the house.
- POPIA-aware consent wording shown at the login step, every time.

Packages
Hotel WiFi solutions in three packages, priced per location.
Same installation, same managed router, same support. What changes is how much you learn about the people staying with you. All prices are per location per month, ex VAT, and none includes the internet line: the property supplies its own connection on its own ISP account.
Basic
R399/month
Your branded login page, access tiers, limits and the managed router. Guests tap once and go. Right for a small guest house or B&B that wants the WiFi to look like theirs and behave itself.
1 WiFi device managed; each extra router or access point +R50 a month.
Basic + Data Collection
R599/month
Guests give their name, email and cell number before going online, with consent captured at that moment. Day visitors, function guests and walk-ins end up on a list you own and can export, not only the names already in your booking system.
1 WiFi device managed; each extra router or access point +R100 a month.
Basic + Data + Guest Insights
R799/month
Adds the numbers behind the list: connections and visitor counts by day, week and month, new versus returning guests so you can see who comes back, busiest days and hours, and how long guests stay connected.
1 WiFi device managed; each extra router or access point +R150 a month.
Hardware is bought once, separately: a router, set up and branded, is from R1,549 once-off, ex VAT. Bigger properties with access points and cabling, and a site survey on request, are quoted per property, because a small guest house and a lodge spread over a hillside are not the same job. Questions we get
Hotel WiFi installation services: before you ask us for a quote.
What do your hotel WiFi installation services include?
A router we supply, set up with your branding and manage (from R1,549 once-off, ex VAT); access points where the building needs them to reach the rooms, quoted per property; a branded splash page carrying your property name, colours and wording; access rules such as time and bandwidth limits; POPIA-aware consent wording at the login step; guest traffic kept off your own network and card machine; and support Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00 SAST. The service is a fixed monthly fee per location, ex VAT.
Who pays for the internet line?
You do. The property supplies and pays for its own internet connection, fibre, LTE or whatever you already run, on its own ISP account. No package includes the internet line: the R399, R599 and R799 per location per month, ex VAT, cover the managed router, the login page, the access rules, consent capture, the guest list and numbers on the higher packages, and our support. On site we need a free network port, a power socket and a spot with good signal to guests.
How are extra access points priced?
Each package covers 1 WiFi device managed: a router or access point we supply or manage. Each extra router or access point is +R50 a month on Basic, +R100 a month on Basic + Data Collection and +R150 a month on Basic + Data + Guest Insights, per extra device, per month, ex VAT, shown as its own line on the quote. The equipment itself is bought once, separately.
Do we get the guest details, and how does POPIA consent work?
Every package shows POPIA-aware consent wording at the login step. From the Basic + Data Collection package, guests enter their name, email and cell number before going online, their consent is captured at that moment, and the list is yours to export and use.
What support hours do you offer?
Support runs Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00 SAST. Outside those hours we respond on a best-effort basis and cannot promise a response time, so report a problem rather than assume we have already seen it.
Can we charge conference or long-stay guests for WiFi?
Yes. Every package supports free access, and advertising, voucher and paid access are add-ons to the Basic + Data + Guest Insights package. Reception can hand a voucher to a conference delegate or a long-stay guest while everyone else stays on the free tier.
Is this hospitality WiFi only for large hotels?
No. Guest houses, lodges, B&Bs, single hotels and small groups all run the same service. Pricing is per location per month, so a small guest house pays for one location. Every package: 1 WiFi device managed; extra devices from +R50 a month. A bigger property that needs more WiFi devices to reach every room pays only for the devices it needs.
Does the guest network touch our PMS or card machine?
No. Guest traffic sits on its own network segment, kept off the property management system, the card machine, back-office PCs and staff devices.
